No, we're not suffering more than anyone else. Europe is is much more trouble. Banks in western Europe have lent billions to eastern European countries and businesses. Some of those still-shaky former communist countries are going to default on their sovereign debt.

I'll be damned if I can see how a bank stress test can identify a 'liar loan'. That 'liar loan' was pooled, tranched, morphed into first a MBS and then into a CDO. The 'liar loan' is a tiny piece of that CDO. Maybe those loans come with big red flags attached, but I doubt it.
